We’re looking for someone to join the YouTube India Social team as a vendor: someone who is passionate about the YouTube brand and has a deep knowledge of the video / online content space, internet subcultures and the Indian creator ecosystem (across languages, genres etc)

As a social media specialist, you will wear many hats – a marketer, a project manager and a community manager – thus, the ability to pivot quickly and effectively is critical to this role


As the social marketing specialist for YouTube India’s user brand, you will help represent the voice of the YouTube brand in the market via Social Media

  • You will own the mandate for the content and community management strategy for YouTube India’s social media handles (and the YouTube channel for long format content).
  • You understand the voice of Gen Z in the market, identify themes that resonate with them and ensure that YouTube continues to stay relevant with this audience.
  • You also display strong skill sets in packaging and communicating YouTube’s responsibility driven brand narrative to the Gen Z audience as well as KOFs (key opinion formers) on social media .
  • You are great at execution, mobilize quickly, love to develop amazing creative ideas and enjoy dabbling with data to tell a good story.

  • Owning for social content and strategy for YouTube India social handles (IG, TW, FB, YT- long form only).
  • Community Management with a focus on identifying engagement opportunities and driving conversations between brand YouTube and users.
  • Inform and sometimes implement paid media to drive reach
  • Performance reporting, identifying success, failures and opportunity areas. Developing presentations based on the same for externalization.
  • Brief and work with agency partners to align, develop and ensure deliverables are being completed on time as per plan
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to align, inform and receive support to deliver social marketing plans.
  • Constant experimentation and content innovations by identifying breakthrough content opportunities
  • Helping inform internal teams of key trends and/or brand crisis situations on social media that can impact the business.

We are looking for:

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience. Degree in Business, Communications, Marketing preferred, or equivalent industry experience
  • 5-8 years of relevant experience in social marketing roles across agencies or client side
  • A passion for the YouTube ecosystem, internet culture and current online social trends
  • Proficiency in project management and marketing execution across channels and markets
  • Strong strategic thinking and comfortable with data backed decision making
  • Ability to navigate around an always-on social landscape

Job Role

The ideal candidate will oversee both demand and supply in this role where he/she will handle the end-to-end engagement with the publishers and third party media to manage CPL/CPA campaigns. They should be able to think critically when making plans and have a demonstrated ability to execute a particular strategy.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the growth and performance of affiliate marketing initiatives
  • Identify new channels for CPC/CPL/CPA and manage exiting 3rd party channels
  • Build new partnerships with high potential partners
  • Responsible for achieving the key business metrics for all the channels
  • Set up deal structures, negotiate and close media partnerships
